Welcome to Crumb. Crumb is operated by Cyrasync LTD ("Crumb", "we", "us", "our"). We are an AI-powered recipe platform that helps people save, organise, preserve, and share recipes and food memories. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it, in clear, plain language.
Crumb is a recipe organisation and family cookbook platform. Users can save recipes, import recipes using AI, upload photos and memories, share cookbooks with family members, and organise personal collections of recipes.
Crumb is not a nutritional service, a dietary advisory service, a medical service, or a food safety authority. Users remain responsible for reviewing recipes and cooking instructions before use.

Information you provide: When you use Crumb, you may provide your name, email address, account credentials, recipes you create or save, personal notes and memories, uploaded photos, family member invitations, and recipe ratings and preferences.
AI import content: When using AI-powered recipe extraction, you may submit website URLs, blog URLs, YouTube URLs, social media URLs, images, and recipe text. This information is processed solely to provide recipe extraction and organisation features.
Automatically collected data: We collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, login activity, usage activity, feature interactions, and error logs.
Payment information: Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full payment card information. Stripe processes payments on our behalf.
We use your data to operate the Crumb platform, store recipes and cookbook content, process AI recipe extractions, enable family cookbook sharing, send account and billing emails, maintain platform security, improve performance and reliability, and prevent abuse and fraud.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent your personal data.
Crumb allows users to share recipes and cookbooks with invited family members.
We only facilitate access that users explicitly grant.
When you use AI recipe extraction, URLs, images, and recipe content may be processed by AI systems to generate structured recipe cards. We do not use your personal recipes to train public AI models. AI-generated outputs are created solely to provide Crumb functionality.
Your data is stored on secure infrastructure located primarily within the European Union. We use trusted providers including Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), Supabase (database and authentication), and Stripe (payments). Data may occasionally be processed outside the EU where required by service providers and where appropriate safeguards exist.
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, secure authentication, access controls, audit logging, and regular backups. While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
We retain your data while your account remains active. If you delete your account, recipes are permanently deleted, uploaded images are removed, personal notes and memories are removed, family cookbook content owned by your account is removed, and your account is erased from our systems. We may retain limited logs where required for security, legal, or billing purposes.
